Havoc
From MCUDL
Havoc Was a team started in between 1993 and 1994. Havoc was a spin-off of No Passing Zone.
Havoc was in existence from 1993-1999. Havoc was consistently the best team in New Jersey, and while it never went to Nationals it was typically one fo the top 5-10 teams in the region (which encompasses all of NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, VA and NC).
The list of Havoc Captains are as follows:
1995: Ray Green
1996: Dave Lucci
1997: Joe Studholme
1998: Joe Crowley
1999: Joe Crowley & Chris Weaver
Havoc had some memorable games their first year at regionals. Entering as the 5 seed, they ended up being eliminated against ECU, in what was remembered as one of the most physical games ever.
1996 saw Manamana split off from Havoc. Havoc had a similar year to 1995, losing continuously to hated rival Philly Rage, playing pretty well, winning NJ Sectionals, but not making it out of Saturday at Regionals.
1997 saw the reunification of the Manamana players, and improved results with it. The team made Sunday at Regionals, but could not overcome DC Anodyne Sunday morning to finish 5th, losing 15-12.
1998 saw the addition of several players, headed by Chris Morath and Chris Weaver. Havoc also added future stars Walt Kalicki and Mike Jackson. The section became consolidated with Pennsylvania, leading to even more heated games with Rage, which still went Rage's way
1999 Havoc became more demanding of themselves and more physical, with practices being extremely intense. The results did not match the process, however, and Havoc suffered a heartbreaking loss early in regionals to Pittsburgh's Black and Gold. After watching all their effort go unrewarded, the senior players of Havoc and Black and Gold met to form an unholy alliance...
